PPS uses a continuous 0–100 rating system to ensure fair competition. Full details are available on the Rating System page. Key points:
- Your PPS rating determines which categories you are eligible to enter.
- Ratings are updated after each event based on match results.
- If a player is found to have misrepresented their level at registration, they may be moved to an appropriate category or disqualified without refund.
- For team categories with a combined rating cap, the sum of both partners' ratings must not exceed the stated limit at the time of registration.
- New players without a PPS rating will be assessed and placed in an appropriate category by the organiser.
- More than 7 days before the event: Full refund, minus any processing fees.
- 3–7 days before the event: 50% refund, or full credit towards a future PPS event.
- Less than 3 days before the event: No refund. Credit may be issued at organiser's discretion.
- No-show on the day: No refund or credit.
- If a partner withdraws and a replacement cannot be found, the remaining player may receive a partial credit at the organiser's discretion.
- If PPS cancels an event, all registered players will receive a full refund or credit for a future event.
Withdrawals must be submitted in writing to the PPS organiser via the contact form or directly to the event coordinator. Verbal withdrawals are not accepted.
- Any dispute during a match should first be discussed calmly between the players involved.
- If the dispute cannot be resolved, a PPS official or the tournament director should be called to the court.
- The tournament director's ruling during an event is final and binding. Play must continue while a ruling is being sought.
- Post-event appeals regarding match results or ranking points must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of the event's conclusion.
- Appeals will be reviewed by the PPS committee and a response provided within 7 days.
