PPS Tournament Rules
1. General
- The Phuket Padel Series (PPS) follows official padel rules as defined by FIP, unless otherwise stated.
- The tournament is organized for amateur and competitive players in different skill-based categories.
- The Tournament Director has the final decision in all matters.
2. Categories & Eligibility
- Players must register in the correct category based on PPS Rating and experience.
- PPS reserves the right to move players to a more suitable category if needed.
- Incorrect registration may result in disqualification without refund.
3. Match Format
- Group Stage matches are played as 1 set to 6 games (golden point).
- Knockout matches are played as best of 3 sets.
- Third set may be played as a super tie-break (10 points), depending on category and schedule.
4. Scoring & Standings
- Group standings are decided by:
- 1) Number of wins
- 2) Head-to-head result
- 3) Game difference
- 4) Points difference
- If teams are still tied, the Tournament Director will decide.
5. Schedule & Punctuality
- Match schedules are published via the PPS website and Court Pro.
- Players must be present at court at least 15 minutes before their match.
- Teams arriving more than 10 minutes late may forfeit the match.
6. Warm-Up
- Standard warm-up time is 5 minutes, shared equally between teams.
- Warm-up must respect the match schedule.
7. Injuries & Withdrawals
- In case of injury, the Tournament Director must be informed immediately.
- If a team withdraws during group stage, completed matches remain valid.
- Withdrawals do not qualify for refunds.
8. Fair Play & Conduct
- Respect towards opponents, referees, and organizers is mandatory.
- Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in warnings, penalties, or disqualification.
- Coaching during matches is not allowed unless stated otherwise.
9. Final Authority
The Tournament Director has full authority to interpret and enforce the rules. Decisions are final and made in the best interest of fair competition and event flow.
